Regional Sales Manager-Molecular Diagnostics (Midwest)

Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Operations, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for further commercializing IncellDx’s molecular diagnostic products in strategically important CLIA regulated laboratories.  In time this will include building, developing, and leading a team of sales professionals to address a wider range of clinical laboratories in the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identify, prioritize, and engage with molecular pathology laboratories to close new business;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to meet and exceed sales objectives in targeted accounts;
  • Use consultative skills to differentiate the company’s products, overcome and manage objections, and move the sales process forward;
  • Prepare compelling customer sales presentations, participate in all sales activities, and assist with customer demonstrations, training and support;
  • Represent the company professionally at industry tradeshows and events focused on molecular diagnostics;
  • Conduct in-depth contract negotiations and prepare necessary RFP responses;
  • Address customer concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in a timely manner and with follow-up when appropriate;
  • Create strategic and tactical business plans to drive the growth of business and attain company sales goals;
  • Communicate effectively in writing, on the phone, and in person to achieve business objectives;
  • Provide timely intelligence on competitive activity, strategy, and pricing;
  • Maintain accurate records of all leads, quotations, proposals, sales, and activity reports;
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts and other analytics to in support of the sales process;
  • Develop required field sales materials, slide presentations, and literature;
  • Coordinate planning and content development for sales meetings;
  • Assist Marketing in developing new advertising materials, etc.;
  • Manage expenses to ensure that spending is gaited appropriately and budget is not exceeded;
  • Build a high caliber team of regional sales professionals over time;
  • Develop, lead, and motivate a regional sales team capable of repeatedly achieving company sales goals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree required;
  • Recent or current experience in a sales role within a major molecular IVD company like Gen-Probe, Roche, Qiagen, or Hologic;
  • Successful track record in molecular diagnostic sales with 10+ years of relevant experience in roles of increasing job responsibility;
  • 3+ years experience building, managing, and leading a sales team;
  • Established connections and prior relationships with key decision makers in regional molecular pathology laboratories;
  • Demonstrated success in selling ASR, 510(k) cleared, or PMA approved medical devices and/or assays;
  • Knowledge of the CLIA and FDA regulations associated with the promotion of diagnostic products;
  • Must be available to travel domestically approximately 50% of the time.
